Hi there! My name is Andrew and I’m the owner of Carmel Highlands Photography. Growing up in Northern California, when I wasn’t in school I was kicking up dust in the vineyards and valleys of the Gabilan Mountains.
I’ve been in love with the art of photography since high school when film and computers were just beginning to speak to one another. Natural light is my favorite brush, and the rugged California landscape my canvas. The bloom of my work with digital photography spans a quarter of a century and blossomed when the cameras were digitized.
My passion from the beginning has been creating works of art that documented the highs and lows of the human condition. My work is inspired by the books of John Steinbeck, Gabriel Garcia Marquez, and J.D. Salinger.
I believe that the setting of a portrait is as important as the subject. I’m blessed to have the Pacific Ocean and Santa Lucia Mountains as backdrops, and couldn’t ask for more.
